Leek
Leeks are an elegant member of the onion family, love rich Tasmanian soil and add a subtle flavour to dishes - they are delicious in their own right. Clean thoroughly to remove any grit and cook them until just tender.
They can be boiled, steamed, char-grilled, fried and are great in soups, tarts and stews.

Best with a firm white stem and bright green leaves.
Storage
Wrap in a plastic bag to prevent moisture loss. Store in the vegetable crisper in the fridge.
