Onion
Tasmanian brown onions enjoy a worldwide reputation for their depth of flavour, great skin and excellent keeping abilities. Leave the root end on while cutting and use a sharp knife to help reduce 'tears'.
Tasmanian red onions, which are also of high quality, are sweet and mild and are excellent in salads and salsas. They may lose some of their colour when they are cooked.
