Choose tomatoes that are full and feel heavy for their size. The skin should be taut and not shriveled.

Storage

Store at room temperature in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight, for use within 1 week after ripe. Tomatoes taste best if not refrigerated, refrigerate only if you can't use them before they spoil.
